This little Snake-vs-Bot demo exists to show WebSockets in action. Instead of the browser constantly asking the server "anything new?", the connection stays open and both sides push messages the instant something happens β€” which is exactly what makes real-time multiplayer, and the live scoreboard, feel instant. It's the companion demo to the MojaLab write-up on WebSockets and Socket.IO: play a round against the bot, watch other players appear in real time, then see how few moving parts it actually takes to build something live.

While I'm in the process of writing a tutorial about WebSockets and Socket.IO, I decided to create this simple example to demonstrate what you can build with real-time communication.

Feel free to play around with it, challenge the AI, and see WebSockets in action! πŸ•ΉοΈπŸ
